His vision was to provide a fast and convenient lube and oil experience, getting customers back on the road fast. Oil Changers was one of the first operators to develop the drive-through, stay-in-your-car oil change model and we have continued to perfect it over the years.

Now, with 55+ locations and counting, Oil Changers is the leading and largest independent fast oil and lube business spanning California and Hawai’i. We work with local partners, most of which are within 30 miles of our stores, to recycle and refine used motor oil to be used again. All of our stores are Certified Collection Centers where used oil and filters are accepted at no charge and properly disposed of on your behalf.

Our marketing materials are always fully recyclable and digital invoices in lieu of paper receipts are readily available.

Oil Changers recommends a suitable for use oil that meets and exceeds the requirements set by your vehicle manufacturer. In some cases, this will be synthetic oil, especially on newer vehicles. However, synthetic oil alone doesn’t guarantee that the manufacturer’s requirements are being met. That’s why it’s important to choose a knowledgeable technician to make sure you get the correct grade and performance for your vehicle. Positions

TECHNICIAN

We’re seeking detail-oriented and friendly individuals who can provide top-quality customer service along with technical proficiency. Candidates for this position should be 18 or participating in a qualified work-experience education program at school.

Responsibilities include:

  • safely guiding vehicles into service bays
  • greeting customers upon arrival
  • verifying service and safety requirements
  • discussing pre-existing conditions with the customer and the other technicians
  • recommending services as needed
  • performing limited computer data entry
  • communicating effectively with the crew and customers
  • performing some exterior maintenance of vehicles

GREETER

Our greeters provide a friendly and professional experience to customers as they arrive.

Responsibilities include:

  • greeting customers upon arrival
  • maintaining good traffic flow during peak periods
  • generating work orders and recommending services as needed
  • computer data entry
  • maintaining order accuracy and completeness
  • communicating effectively with the crew and customers
  • performing some exterior maintenance of vehicles

LEAD TECHNICIAN

Lead Techs have all the qualities of our Technicians, but with the addition of supervisory skills. This position provides the training and development needed to progress to management.

Responsibilities include:

  • opening and closing the store consistently
  • mentoring team members
  • counting inventory
  • assisting the Assistant Manager and Store Manager in setting and meeting production goals
  • controlling cash shortages and inventory shrinkage
  • ability to effectively perform in other positions

ASSISTANT MANAGER

After mastering the position of Lead Technician, many individuals are promoted to Assistant Manager. To succeed in this position, experience in-store operations and the oil change process is required.

Responsibilities include:

  • assisting the Manager in setting and meeting production goals
  • controlling cash shortages and inventory shrinkage

STORE MANAGER

This position requires advanced knowledge of all of the functions of the above-mentioned positions, plus exceptional supervisory skills. Individuals in this position are essentially responsible for all operations at their store. Superior customer service skills are necessary, and Oil Changer Management Development experience is required.
